One thing you need to understand about bubbles is that every time one appears it is accomanied by a chorus of experts shouting "This time it's different".

It never is.

Ironically "This time it's different" is one of the signs that this time it's exactly the same.

And it's good that all bubbles inevitably end with a bust. It means that you need never again worry about missing your chance.

If house prices are racing away from you. If there's a mania in the air. If "experts" are warning that you'll miss your chance, and this time it's different.

Relax.

It might take a while but reality will hit. The longer the madness goes on the bigger the resulting fall will be.

If you have a reasonable income, if you are responsible with your money, if you can resist racking up debt then you will get many chances to own your own house.

The property market will always come back to you.
