His suggested key moment was the introduction of The Irish Times "Take Five" column, which showed how crazy Irish property prices had become when compared with locations around the world.

We're all still a little unsure, but we think the column might have been a very clever under the radar way of drawing attention to the property bubble. At the time to challenge the bubble directly would have led to complaints from property related advertisers.
